Welcome home 218th South Carolina National Guard
Been around the world
and here and there a few times.
Accomplished all my missions,
always alert and with a smile.
God has been so good to me
This time I take to say,
What a joy it is to know
what life is if you are not afraid of the war games you must play.
You have completed your assignment, even tho sometimes you don't want to go. Then to leave a place you would not have known, if you had not followed the call of God.
Flying across the Pacific,Mediteranean, Asian Seas, across the Indian and Atlantic Ocean time after time, but I find nothing like home after a tour. Thank God, I'm
South Carolina Bound!

|There is no place quite like home, for home is security, safety, happiness, warmth, family, and so much more...home is our haven...just imagine what our homes would be like if we did not have our brave soldiers fighting for our freedom! It takes a special person to inlist and volunteer their life to protect ours! Well done my friend!
Blessings from Ky.

|Howdy neighbor, I enjoyed your poem and after a trip or vacation, the one place we always long to return to is "home".|
