Funny Side Up - The Book

"The stories are timely, but not timeless, and close to universal experiences, out-doing many tired elements around today" (Richard Armour)..

A new Day

The sun comes through my window

Its already morning

I can hear the birds singing

I can feel the cold breeze rushing in through my open window

Its morning again

The start of a new day

It looks so bright and a smile appears on my face

Hopeful for a better day

Hopeful for a peaceful day

Hopeful for a day that would bring change

Change to the world

Change to my sad and gloom heart

Hope that will make it through these throny times.

Just as the night time is conquered by the morning light

My time shall come

Sweet hope. It's nice how you separated those last two lines that give more meaning to your poem.
