As much as I love spring and summer, I must admit there are things I don't like.

I Don’t Like Bugs!

I don’t like bugs that creep and crawl across the room.
I don’t like bugs that hop around or come from a cocoon.
I don’t like bugs in my computer, they give me the creeps.
I don’t like those that fly, hop, crawl or even leap.

Bugs give me the heeby jeebies every time they are near.
They make me itchy all over, and I get jumpy out of fear.
The scary little creatures are as repulsive as they can be.
Whether they’re crawling, flying or hanging from a tree.

If I had my way, there would no longer be,
Any of those creatures that are always scaring me.
You think by now; fly swatters & bug sprays would be obsolete.
For nothing seems to affect them, I might as well use my feet.

Well, I don't even like your big bug at the top! We have been through the lady bug invasion, now the caterpillars (from the horrid tents they make in the trees) and are expecting the super-horrible cicadas any time soon. They were here for our very first summer 17 years ago--oh, yuck, they are monsters!!!
I have a poem called Nightmare on Walnut Street about another lady who was very afraid of bugs. Read it if you dare!

Love to my Sis,

We don't give us enough credit for what they do for us. But when one is pestering me, or crawling on my neck, or even inside my computer, all I want to do is smash it. It's a good thing there are millions more to replenish the supply.

Cute write, though.

Too cute! Thie would be a great children's poem, especially for little girls...teaching first grade I can say that the boys for the most part all like bugs and creepy crawly things. Enjoyed and the picture was a perfect match! Well done!

I think this is a cute bug photo and a cuter bug write. Thanks for It Bonnie, but I can accept your fears, cause I feel the same way about the snakes and fish worms also.

Bonnie,

I like that bug illustrating your poem, but I'm in total agreement with you. BUT: you ain't SEEN bugs 'til you come to Texas! Fire ants, spiders, waterbugs, cockroaches, creepy crawlies *shudders* Thank God for the Orkin Man! LOL An excellent write describing your fear - mine's storms, but bugs and tight spaces and bridges right on up there - B-GAWWWWWWWWWK! LOL

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
