John taught me alot,

But not about this,

How to suffer thru a loss,

And go on to live in bliss.

So I just try my best,

To imagine what he would have said,

How would he have dealt,

Had it been me instead.

But there’s no way,

That that could even be,

Because John would’ve been there,

And he would’ve prtected me.

Thats why it is,

The way that it is now,

John couldn’t live on,

If he didn’t help somehow.

So how do I deal,

Knowing I couldnt protect him,

Knowing he stuck his neck out,

And saved all of them.

If I could go back,

What more could I have done,

He saved me too,

Thats how it all begun.

He knew that guy was serious,

But to me it all seemed unreal,

What if I had stopped him,

Fought him with all my will.

If he had not went there,

His heart would still have died,

He had to go and protect them,

And it had nothing to do with pride.

I begged him from my depths,

Pleaded with all my heart,

Scared of what did happen,

It tore my soul apart.

So now I must live on,

With what John couldn’t live with,

If someone tells you of John’s love,

You can believe its not a myth.

Because I’ll have to live with it,

For the rest of my days,

My only conclusion on how to deal,

Is to pass on the story of John’s loving ways.
