So wrong without you,

Must be a glitch,

Like the seam’s been ripped,

From my every little stitch.

Want to talk about you,

You’re always on my mind,

Don’t even know questions,

To answers I’m trying to find.

Just feels so empty,

Something big missing,

My mind says move on,

But my heart won’t listen.

You didn’t leave unknown,

You came and made your mark,

You lit up my world,

That now seems so dark.

Unique to everyone,

Immortal to me,

Amazing in every way,

It was so clear to see.

People want your things,

Right down to your shirts,

Nothign to me compares,

To what your memory comforts.

Not a thing that you had,

Really holds any worth,

Your heart was my prize,

Better than anything on earth.

I know I can sob,

In this loss forever,

But the memories we  had,

Will leave me never,

There’s nothing material,

That could fill this space,

Your love was my loss,

That nothing else could replace.

If I could ask,

For something of yours,

I’d ask for your feet,

To still walk these floors.

If I did want,

Something you had,

It would be your power,

To comfort the sad.

If I did have just one request,

I’d take back the day,

You were put to rest.
