In the night she leaves her space barefoot alone
There in the green grass of the cemetery she walks
Taunting me she says she is lonely and misses me
I talk to her as if she is still in the flesh but shes not
I am different now I am all grown up, but shes sixteen
Long blonde hair flows like many years ago behind her
She seems so sad my heart aches at the time thats past
What do you say after shes been in the ground so long?
She says stay here with me, I say please dont go away
I see the path its concrete it runs through the cemetery
I start to follow it but keep turning looking back to her
I turn and ask what about you she says stay, I say I cant
She looks at me and starts to walk back to her grave
I yell what about you she says shes tired and must rest
The world brings me back to life and I feel empty
I miss her but she will visit again when life is silent
When once again I put my head back dreaming of a friend

For my friend Kimberly Ahnette Palmer rest in peace

I remember poems of Kimberly before. Like you I forever see my brother Michael at age 31. I am now older than him, it's strange sometimes. As always very good my friend.

sad but I enjoyed reading your poem-I did a poem about a 16 year old but did it quite differently a long time ago-you can find it if you want to read it as

" I'm only 16 "
