In Lieu of Flowers - Send Ground Round

Different Minds do not always think alike.

In lieu of flowers – send ground round

I try never to go into a flower shop.
When I went with Bessie, she was
pleasingly overwhelmed by the blooming blossoms.

Me? I took a whiff and it immediately called up
wakes and funerals. Sharing my thoughts with her,
Bessie rolled her eyes and harrumphed, YOU are a joy ‘murderer.’

I said I think you mean ‘killjoy’ and I’M still having a good time.
The world goes round on diverging thoughts and opinions. That’s
what was passed on to me. I may even like being reminded of the dead.

IT is what IT is;
now let’s get to the butcher shop.

A 'blooming' good idea for such a 'meaty' subject.

Cheers,

With my allergies to flower's pollen, that butcher shop seems more appropiate, maybe I can smell one of those humongous texas T-bone steaks and send that cholesterol level to shut up to Mars.
