Sound of the music,

Beat of the band
didn't make me
slap my hand.
Didn't feel like dancing,
so I just sat,
suffered in regret,
my party needs
weren't met.

The band met deaf ears,
deaf ears met the band.
Together they could
not tango,
made no difference what lingo.
My boredom showed,
as my disgust flowed.

I wanted to dance,
but there was no chance.
I took a chance,
found no dance.
Tomorrow is another day
I get another shot to play.

Love the flow of this one. Very creative and imaginative "I wanted to dance,
but there was no chance.
I took a chance,
found no dance." I know that feeling.
