Just Let it Be

The cool breeze, which speaks of coming rain,

Washes gently over me, body and soul.

In the twilight of dusk, and in the midst

Of life’s turmoil and stress, Peace comes to me.

The gentle coo of a night bird is heard,

And one of the horses rattles a bucket.

While I can just be still, and let it be.

Dear Karen --

I can just feel it - the calmness that can come over a person, letting it all in and hardly noticing.

Beautiful poem

Kathy

... a magic moment of stillness and equilibrium and yet couched within life's daily pageant. I think you capture here splendidly those sounds and associations that are closest to your heart. May that peace and inner calm long continue; within it life is good. Bless you, Kate xx

It seems that it needs a revision to cut the prosaic.

"Just let it Be" the way Mother Poet blows in smiles.

I salute You, Poet.
