I've been accused of being a prolific poet, don't bother me but it seems to bother others. Poets verse, it's just a part of their curse. When I'm at home I'm writing, either on my book or versing in this den, got a problem with that, take it up with Zeus. Anyway if you followed my wife and I this weekend, some would probably say, I'm a prolific dancer, I dance on my feet and with my verse, got a problem with this take it up with Zeus. Friday we danced and partied at one of the local malls. They close the entrance down, everyone even the kids dance, eat and party. There's a wine bar in the mall area, the adults sit out and sip wine. This band was popping however Saturday at the Casino the band was lousy, got no dancing in at all, boy was I pissed. But my wife and I lucked up on the slots, won some jackpots. We played all night until the next morning, then took the scenic route home, stopped and picniced all the way. Sunday I rested and versed, monday we'll be hitting the door to have some fun again. It's funny how prolific kids are, some of the adults just stood around, wouldn't dance at the mall. The kids were jumping around and dancing like crazy, my wife and I joined in so did some of the other adults who like to get their dance on. Prolific maybe, however those of you with hang ups always eyeballing and sitting on your butts need to get out and have some fun. Don't worry about my fun, have some of your own, geez! See this smile, it's for real! |

Out in the universe
the God's smile,
let those earthlings
try love for awhile,
Zeus shouted this
will be their trial.
Cupid took flight
loaded with love arrows
to help make love right.
Love is failing,
inflicted by evil excelling.
Cupid's arrow sack
constantly needs refilling,
but his efforts are thrilling.
These humans are a
hard case,
love at first sight,
in the beginning love
seems just right.
A little time passes,
many humans sit on
their azzes.
It's really a stupid planet,
they start taking love
for granted.
Lonely ladies sit in disgust,
even some men start to rust,
Their mates fly out
somewhere else to lust.
It seems love is failing,
to be honest
it has failed,
many of those humans
need to be jailed.
No love chimes,
only lusting crimes.
The Gods know
lust is a must,
from the beginnng
the humans they
couldn't trust.
Lust provides too much
of a joy,
the humans treat it
like a toy.
The God's don't fret,
because their entertainment
needs are met.
Some of them even
join in,
take advantage of
weaker women and men.
Zeus doesn't care,
he and Hera have love to spare.
Cupid screams,
I don't understand,
this love thing is
getting out of hand.
All the God's agree,
making love is grand.
The humans don't have
a chance,
once bitten they
love to romance.
Even if only a snort,
and loves rules short,
the humans will
always court.
Love isn't perfected,
surely it needs
to be corrected.
The God's enjoy
the merry so found,
the planets continue
to spin around.

Great smile...it's catching...I'm smiling too :o) Methinks Cupid shot too many arrows in too few people...gotta spread out the love to many before it is lost. Good poem, Gem!
