The Angel in My Life
She arrived unexpectedly
Gracing so many of us
With her presence
On a cold winter day
Just a few short years ago

Sweeter than apple pie
My angel has hair of curls
And magical eyes of brown
The biggest, most tender smile
Which lights up every room

Her beauty, simply breathtaking
My angel is affectionate
And pure, warmhearted, smart
She delights in singing, dancing
And using her imagination for play
~
She communicates loud and clear
If her favorite bunny gets left behind
I could watch her for hours on end
And still be filled with awe
That one little person can bring this joy
~
There is no question in my mind
This miracle from God was sent
At the perfect time for so many of us
I have never known a love like this
My granddaughter is Mackenzie ...
The angel in my life.
