|Gene did you get a 3 or 4 skimmer with that shell? I never could skip a stone or a shell....well anything on the water, just "Plop"....your poem is the peaceful calm of serenity's silence & wonderments.

|Exceptionally fine Haibun, Gene!! This form is so enjoyable to read and absorb. I've not tried writing a Haibun...yet...but who know :o)
You should do more of these, speaking litterally!

|Gene, this is captivating and with such beautiful visual images...going back home after being away for awhile...we usually find nothing changes that much. Loved, "the shell skims on the glassy bay ripples return." Oh, the beauty I see as the ripples slowly come to shore. An exceptional writing.|

|this is so resonant and resiliant, i cant begin. . .
the contrast of smallness to worldly wise. . .. the introspective words vs the esoteric experience. .
and jsut the visuals, the tactiles, the shells and sand and feathers and forever grey sky. ..
you make a wish come true; a ripple extend far beyond its simple reaches and into something existentially more.....

|What a beautiful nostalgic write. It sounds like you are truly home again. So many wish they could go back and things be as they were and are vastly disappointed. I am glad you were not. Love this, Love, Bonnie|
