What is Love?

What is Love?

No answers required
Nor questions either
Just hold my hand
And simply be here

Tears will come
And hopefully laughter
Neither one of us believes
In happily ever after

A roll in the hay
And you’ll be on your way?
No, stay, hold my hand
And share the nights and days

You can face anything if you face it together, hand-in-hand. Beautiful sentiment here Liz. Hugs, Elizabeth

In just a few lines and with truthful simplicity, you have given the reader a deeply moving picture of our certainties and uncertainties, wishes and fears about love.

I liked the thought that no words are required for it. Good word play and insight. I might have heard a song about it, "What's love got to do, got to do with it, what's love, but second-hand....."Jerry

Liz,
"share the nights and days" is a perfect description of partners facing the world. This has the voice of someone who prefers a soulful commitment rather than a paper commitment. Nicely written! Love and Hugs~

Indeed, love is neither a "roll in the hay" nor a "one night stand." Love and blessings,

Liz,
Love is so many things, in so many ways-yes even a lusty roll in the hay can be love(comforts in a time of need are love too-not an enduring long withstanding durational kind......but there is still some element of love there)

How could he leave you after one night. He did not really get to know you. Love is more than that. Hope you find true love soon.

Direct and yet elusive look at love, one nighters and hopes and dreams that passion is more than just a fleeting thing...well done.

Love is everlasting and embedded spiritually from the head to the heart racing its way to private parts going down to the toes...true love stays around longer than a one-night stand...make that commitment today Liz...

Oh Elizabeth you are too precious not to be loved the way a woman needs to be loved. Totally, don't settle for less. Sad but very good write but I want to hear one when you find the right someone that loves you. Love and hugs, Bonnie
