You Found Your Destiny

Sometimes you put all your love and energy into one relationship. One that's wrong for you when the right one is close by.

You Found Your Destiny

Begging and pleading for someone’s love doesn’t make it so.
You can’t make someone love you; it is something that I know.
All you can do is keep loving them until your heart goes cold.
And hoping beyond hope his love will soon unfold.

But if it never comes to you, you must continue on.
Or you will cloak yourself in darkness, until your life is done.
He will never understand the love you could have given.
It would have made his life a life truly worth living.

So don’t feel bad or sorry that he wouldn’t let your love inside.
It’s his loss for sure, for he could have had you as his bride.
But you have found another, and he’ll realize the cost.
For he might realize too late the treasure he had lost.

If you feel any sorrow, for him that sorrow should be.
For you found your own true love, and found your destiny.

Beautifully written my friend...advice that all teens should read, and great advice for any age! Allows one to know that there is hope after giving your heart to the one who is not the one for you! Great message and a wonderful flowing poem my friend!
