Watch your steps. Watch, for every step you make

Leaves an indelible mark on the face

Of Mother Earth, and every breath you take

And exhale invades someone else's space.

Watch where you head, for all the roads run out,

The Earth is round and there is no escape.

No matter how you rave, or how you shout,

Upon your eyes will descend a dark drape.

Watch how you love; it can turn against you

If your mind and heart is not pure as snow.

There’s heaven and hell; you get what is due,

You can fly up high or land down below.

Your life is your own. Smile, laugh, scream or yell,

This Earth is your home, your own heaven and hell.

i made my own home and now I must abide by it. When I married my second husband his mother said I was to take care of him always. I did til his death. He left me alone and sometimes it really is like hell here on earth without him. This sonnet is truth and should be taken literally as it reads.
