|I think of love not as a word or an emotion but as a gift we all were born with but very few truly get to use this gift because they are afraid of it. Love is so unknown and this mystery becomes a task that few want to journey. Those who do tap in on their gift of love are the ones that are truly living life at its fullest. Love ya April|

|The search for the meaning of love is an age old quest.
Augustine once wrote that man is a restless soul without love in his life. He meant the love of God, but it also applies to the need for man to be satisfied by the warmth of genuine human love.
1 Corinthians 13 is a popularly read poetic definition of love that springs to mind. John Lennon's song, Love, is lyrically stark in its meaning and is re-enforced by a powerful yet simple melodic lilt. He also questioned what love was in his song, How, e.g. 'How can I give love when love is something I've never had'. I once conducted the funeral of a 38 year old man who died a lonely and tragic death following estrangement from his fiance. I closed the service by playing a song requested by the love of his life. The lyrics of the song were very apt for a man who had sadly never knew and had failed to recognise what love was. The song was called I Want To Know What Love Is by The Proclaimers.
I guess this heartfelt appeal is uttered audibly and groaned internally by millions of strangers to love a million times a million times over each breath of each day.
Love and faith combined is an incalcubally potent force.

|I agree with you, The word Love simply doesn't do the emotion justice.
Your poem certainly does. I absolutely love the way you paint with words.

|Love is truly a great thing to have. Once it is lost it is hard to find true love again. Some don't want it, some cannot absolutely find the right person, some just don't care either way. I truly need no love except my Lord's and family love. Grandkids are great with their hugs each time I visit. Love is different things to different people. I had my share of real love and now just need to know I am wanted and people want me around them. That is enough since Tom, my sweetheart forever passed away.|

|Well done in its conception . . . Love . . . A much discussed word . . . I a;ways fall back to this statement when talking about love . . . Don't know who penned it, but it is words to pay attention to . . . "There is a thin line between love and hate."|
