To Honor My Ancestors

Sadly I am distant, a bit lost without connections,

Far removed from any memory,

Of those who came before me in time,

For my culture has not made this knowledge essential.

I feel I have lost much by not knowing,

My lineage, my history, and my family.

Where they kings or queens, robbers or thieves?

Perhaps some were heroes, perhaps they were not.

For some, who they are, is governed by esteemed ancestry,

And lineage matters in their paths in life,

Without this, I recently feel a sense of loss,

And hope that in my life, I honor the memory of my ancestors.

It is from those ancestors you have been born. And that my friend is a life to celebrate, for you are one amazing woman.
Much peace, love, and light,

Whoever or whatever your ancestors were matters little for they live on in your heart and in your blood...to become the wonderful person with deep heart, true soul and a love for animals and children that you have they would have to have been wonderful people...
