Chilling tales of the terminally introverted masses who hide so expertly amongst us.....

Its getting to be that time of year
the birth anniversary for one I hold dear
I think of her button cheeks and infectious smile
even though I’ve seen neither for a while

So here I am too far, far away for a Birthday hug
not much to do but kick some sand and shrug
but wait!
If I had a mystical machine (from ACME of course)
I could send my little Gumby spirit to the source
and then !

 Insert dream sequence here

I’d wrap her up with my arms being the bow
Then I would kiss her neck so very slow
My arms would squeeze a bit at the waist
While I continue to nibble, nuzzle and taste

My little Gumby hands would go here and there
Paying close attention to avoid her underwear
Yes I can be naughty, this is true ,
but there are limits to what I’ll do

She is still the Princess in my heart and mind
And our souls are now and forever entwined

So instead I’d turn her and place a hand on her face
Kiss her lips softly with a gentle embrace
tell her my love continues unconditionally
Not just on the days celebrated traditionally

Of course this would all be in the ethereal
it would not be felt in the world of material
but hopefully she would get an inkling
of how for her my heart is still twinkling

My body is now calling me back
to the shell that’s filled with lack
But before I go, this message I must say
I hope you have a Wonderful Birthday

What a wit Edward.
Your work always touches me.
And your love of Gumby is quite unique.
You have a child inside of you that tickles me pink.
Slightly irreverent, strong, somewhat cynical, talented, devil may care, romantic ... good stuff ... thanks!

The Man Who Saved Christmas by Jeff Ovall

Christmas - only days away; plastic snowmen and glowing reindeer adorn the lawns of neighborhoods all across America. All is calm, all is bright, and yet there is something tragic..
