Blue skies shimmer to the east
While storm clouds glower to the west,
And somewhere in the middle
I stand poised
With arms raised,
Basking in the near stillness
Of nature-in-waiting.
It is one of those moments
When the gentle and mighty powers of God
Wrap themselves around the earth,
Enfolding us
And sharing with us
The distant sound
Of His heartbeat
As the sun and rains of life
Chase one another
Across the land.

A beautiful picture; you are immersed in His gentle and mighty displays of power. I love "sharing with us the distant sound of His heartbeat."

Another way to look at storms - beautiful, Rebecca, just don't be the tallest object around! Stay safe -
