Come along son and walk with me

I’ll show you a town that once was free.

This little town that we called home

It wasn’t heaven but it was our own.

Then came the waves of immigrants

Most illegal and without two cents.

Sometimes living five in one room

      Attempted social services were doomed.

     Habla Espanola everywhere

Drugs sold in streets without care.

     Schools in complete disarray

Feds smirk and turn their face away.

ACLU lawsuits are now in place

The town’s legal efforts can’t keep pace.

The mayor did all he can

Hell son, We have lost our birthplace land.

There is, indeed, a fine line of crossing the threshold of one of America's quotes "melting pot".
