Happy Father's Day Dad and to all father's everywhere.

Dedicated to a man of magic and wisdom...my father. He gave his eight children his best.

My father had great wisdom
He passed to all his kids
A tender way of touching us
Our neighbors and his friends
He compassionately would offer
While pondering the blue
"Taste all your words before you speak
And walk in others' shoes"
He'd never turn from strangers
Who needed him...at best
He'd offer up his reason
"He's a friend I haven't met"
The wisest man of all my years
Had simple ways to prove
"Live long and prosper equally
Won't grow old if you act a fool"
He has ventured somewhere out there
Where Shamen go to ponder
Then watch o'er us with gentleness
Somewhere in the wide blue yonder
He is missed but in his way
He left his prints behind
Secure within his children
And deep within their minds.

Sounds like a very wise man and you give a fitting tribute. Very well expressed and written.

I like this quote best.

"Taste all your words before you speak
And walk in others' shoes"

You father sure is that breeze going around the trees in that forest in the sky, sometimes one of our Bald-Eagles fly so near him that he can whisper a few words in its ear just for you.

A tribute to a man who was more than your father, but a teacher whose presence left a spiritual imprint in you as we have spoke about in the past, Susan...I might remind you that you are doing a great job of passing on his inheritance and wisdom to your daughter Mariah and your grandchildren...I've felt his presence, The Shaman in several pieces of your art and poetry...you've done him proud...be well always, Susan.

Love Always,
Sage
