It's and older poem. The Statue of Liberty needed repairs, which were costly but together we did it. Freedom is a priceless jewel.

Time has made us so very proud,

this year we can cry and sing aloud.

Deep in our hearts freedom still rings,

to strive for peace we'll be our aim!

Who better to tell the story,

Lady Liberty shines in her glory.

In New York harbor she'll be restored,

America gave in one accord.

She cam e a hundred years agp.

through raging storms, cold, and snow.

Splendid sculpture rapture from France,

land of peace, beauty, and romance.

Young and vibrant all culture know,

America was is the place to go.

Ellis Island the final touch,

to many people it meant so much.

Martin Luther King, Mrs. Liberty,

two vast symbols of we the free.

Alll those who died are truly brave,

their dreams were the American wave!

Divine power watches the torch ,

On her bbirthday her face aglow.

saying  all people should be free,

shining brightly for the world to know!

Well said and she was well worth the cost for all she represents in the past, present and future. May she stand tall forever....

Be always safe,
