Thank You , Mom

Thank you Mom, for all the love
that came from your heart-
I know how hard it must have been
for us to have to part.
I know you would have kept me
if there had been a way-
Mom, I understand why you had to
give me away!

I know you must have thought of
me all throu the years-
Wondering about me - smiling
throu your tears.
You did the right thing Mom,
I don't hold it against you-
Be happy Mom, Don't be sad- you
done what you had to do.

Your heart must have been breaking,
what a heavy cross to bear-
What greater love than to give away your
child, it showed how much you care.
I am so happy Mom, I just thought
you might want to know-
Thank you for the courage Mom, it
took to let me go!

Your gentle heart and excellent talent and empathy you feel for all the downtodden and lonely and lost souls make you a wonderful person and great poet in this area. And when the inner juices you also bring love into play in your personal poetry and life. You have always known what I think about you. Keep writing and someday - just when you least expect it - a happiness will be yours that is unexplainable now. Hugs Bill
