... who has experienced the words that he writes ...

Portrait Of A Sad Man

Who has had more pain in
his life than should be allowed;
who has experienced the words that
he writes; who has laughed; loved; lived
and lost; who served our Nation that forgets
the meaning of the words honor and sacrifice ---
don't cry, sad man.  Thought I knew heartache until
yours arrived in today's mail:  you let me walk a mile in
your shoes.  A long, hard journey:  but worth the tears you
scribed on my heart.  Proud to call you Poet.  Friend.  Brother ...

thank you.

George should get out of the doldrums with this write. It shows stepping stones going down and up, either way you view it. I really think you put lots of effort in this write for Georg. I do like the style to this one, going in steps, at the end and just letting the words flow about him. Georg make Karla very proud of you and come back to us as your cheerful self. Life is what you make of it, and you know that to be true.
