The Rose And The Rain
By La Belle Rouge

so often we have shared
things hidden in our souls
when no one else even cared
we lay broken on the shoals

within the written word
of passionate love poetry
the message that we heard
was just to “let love be”

love needs no excuse
it simply needs two hearts
unafraid to accept a muse
connected from the start

eyes that see far beyond
revelations on a poet’s page
into a hidden world of calm
past a peripheral of rage

somewhere in the confusion
a sun of love still shines
in a sweet dreams’ delusion
i’m yours and you are mine

a dance among the moonbeams
feet never touch the earth
only we know what it means
no one else defines its worth

a whisper “don’t forget me”
amid life’s joy and pain
still we dare to ”let love be”
can the rose forget the rain?

OMG! You are a master at what you do: writing romance poetry, I don't know how you do it but your lines are divine here is my fav verse "somewhere in the confusion
a sun of love still shines
in a sweet dreams’ delusion
i’m yours and you are mine"

and this is such a perfect one

"can the rose forget the rain?" can the rose indeed?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel you, Belle. You write so much that I relate to. The good and the bad and the passion that stirs our hearts, souls, spirits and leave us the wiser for it all. You write from the heart and soul and all the trappings of life come alive under you pen. Awesome. Bravo. Liz
