Choosing God's plan over mine. A certainty, over a uncertain thing over.

This is the truth of will, and  the story of life with the decision to live in God.

The thought that I would live in a dead neighbourhood I could not have seen, nor would I  have chosen.

To hear the gunshots start at the drop of the sun, or see the dope boys ply their trade even at my doorstep.

Not my will but his.

To see teenage girls more naked than dressed waiting to be chosen, hurt my heart and turned my stomach.

Having the need for a tank and having a bible instead, walking home late at night watching every shadow, and looking at every bush.

The wind blowing and wanting it to stop because it caused more movement than my eyes could follow.

Not my will but his.

In the madness that seems to spread all around me, unconsciously I sink my feet into the ground to anchor myself. I will not be pulled into this mess.

I will pray and sing, for my praise and faith will keep me free, nothing can shelter my eyes, I must see to know what to do.

Yes in all of the world this thing plays out every day, but what will we do about it. If the spirit of God is within you, You have power and authority to fight, pray and to live He has invested his life into us.

Now what shall we do?

We live in, and  believe his word and know that we cannot fail, knowing that what we have within us can overthrow all that the enemy has to offer and if there is a threat of defeat, Our God is there with us.

Not my will but his.
