It isn’t easy imagining
you, standing before me
tired and worn out
wanting nothing more
than a hot bath,
a cold beer
and a fiery night
of what have you
until slumbering
and snoring loud
between cool sheets
thrown aside
and pillows tossed
but not dressed
before a sun rising
over dew drenched lawns
blanketed in whirling mists
blown off from daybreak thermals
where morning gulls fly

Humpf
I guess it was easier than I thought!
;-)

This is a sweet write... cool and gentle, and we've been tere enough to know that it might never be. Who was it that said, "It's best to jump from the cliff and build out wings on the way down?" - Bill

I grinned at the end of this poem Sara! In the world of airbrushed 'reality', it is refreshing to read something as intimate and relaxing as "Bird On A Wing".

Thank you, ~Zach

What a sweet and honest write, Sara. At least that's the way I "read" it. You stirred something in my soul. Love and best wishes to you,
