“WORDS”
Now, we don’t always say what we mean,
nor do any of us always mean what we say,
our words often entail more than they seem,
such is the complexity in just living the day.
Often saying what one may want to hear,
still is translated to suit one’s own needs,
done out of passion, and often out of fear,
no one listens to all our heart filling pleads.
Spoken words insight our blistering emotions,
stimulating withdrawn or summoning action,
a mixing of love or hate sparking devotion,
just in search to discover the latest fashion.
The words hold the key to all the raw power,
too often articulated without mindful thought,
lashing out causing the pain that can devour,
communication the tool that can’t be bought.
Our spontaneous words can create such sorrow,
as shown throughout the history of passing time,
love turns to instant hate, to another tomorrow,
as words catch the emotion crippling the mind.

Words...they are powerful they can bring joy, heartache, and sometimes cut like a knife, while still other times they can entertain...where would we be without them. A profound and thought provoking write my friend!

The idea of "words that catch the emotion" is interesting.
Words can indeed change things
also turn love into "instant hate",
although the effect they have is linked
to the power one gives to the person who utters them.
Words said by someone you don't love or respect
mean nothing...
