They say you're only as old as you feel. Body's convinced it's 112. LOL
Can't let this day pass without wishing my twinkie Happy Birthday - I love you, Karen. :)

... held onto you as long as I
could, but you were too slippery -
you slid through my fingers and fell
on the floor. Body too old to
bend over, pick up, so must leave
you where you are. Going to be
strange, when asked, 'How old?' to answer
in higher numbers than I'm used
to saying. Goodbye, forty eight,
helloooo, forty NINE. (Nearly a
half century: ahhh, now why did
I have to think of it like that??)

Happy birthday to you two,
hope you enjoy a lot more than a few,
48 is a young bird still
when you're in your 50's you'll start downhill.
Hope you have one hell of a day,
making memories that won't go astray.
Happy Birthday Girls.
Newfie Hugs and wishes coming your way, Rose |

| As I told your Twink yesterday, I know I was 49 myself once, but I just can't remember it. Hope you both had a great day, and you are truly only as old as you feel - I'm still a young kid - inside, anyway! |

| Birthday wishes to you and many more to come. Celebrate it with joy and don't think about the next year Karla, it will come soon enough, meanwhile enjoy every day of being 49. Next year you can really celebrate the big 50, and don't worry, today is enough for today. Eat some cake for me, I love the icing on birthday cakes. Delicious. |

| BLESS YOU!!! You beat me to it... I was just about to pop up and SURPRISE you with a greeting!! MANY HAPPY RETURNS, KARLA, and I mean that... last year I was 50 and I just couldn't get my head round it or come to terms... so unlike me... these sorts of things don't usually bother me but last year was hard.... BUT THIS YEAR... different story... I FEEL GREAT ABOUT BEING 51!! Was chatted up by a frisky painter half my age at the beach this morning, so it ain't all bad... You kinda get with it after the watershed of 50, I think... a kinda "what the hell" sets in... Take your 50th year at a gallop and embrace the thrill of the downhill run... IT'S WONDERFUL!! Caution goes to the wind along with the hang-ups... Trust me.. I'm a ... poet...!!! :)) You'll always be the age of the rings on your fingerprint... no more and no less... never changing! And they're BEAUTIFUL!! And unique, but of course. Love and many birthday kisses, Kate xx |
