I believe in some strange way, we are all somehow interconnected through dreams and the power of the universe.

Here we are, as we began, nothing more, nothing less.

To have known one that well, who knew me better
than I knew myself at times.

As if soul mates from the beginning of time,
brought together by some inexplicable force,
inadvertently, as if by chance.

The only one who could reach into the depths
of my soul without my knowing it,
pulling my inner being to a state of reality.

This would take an incredible person indeed.

For I have known such a person, patient,
with whom I have shared my most inner thoughts,
my secrets, my hopes and dreams,
who understood my ups and downs, my every turn.

Someone who could make me laugh when I was lost or sad;
who made me cry when tears would no longer flow;
who could make the anger in me rise,
expelling like vibrating thunder across the sky;
who could make the hurt and pain dissipate
like droplets of water after a pouring rain.

For without feeling, I will remain incomplete.

To have done such an extraordinary feat,
bringing about in a person,
that which they always believed to be there,
but were holding onto as if for safekeeping.

Some will go through life never knowing
friendship of this magnitude,
where the bond is so strong, the trust so deep,
only to once again proceed our separate ways.

A feeling of such emptiness, such sadness.

Here we are, as we began, nothing more, nothing less.
