Gods Country

“Ah, You are from God’s country.”

He said in his ‘no hurry for anything’ Southern drawl.

His words made me ponder as I had been marveling,

In the beauty of the East so alive and so green.

“Its all Gods county,” I said with a smile,

Then realized how sad it can be,

That we spend every day in a place we call home,

But allow it to become just commonplace,

When indeed from the cold crashing waves,

Of the Atlantic upon the rocky coast of Maine,

To the soft Pacific rolling onto a beach in California

And every tree, rock and prairie and mountain in-between,

It is truly, all Gods country.

Karen, yes, it is all God's country - He gave us such beauty to feast our eyes upon and to enjoy in this life. God's beauty surrounds us every where we look and at each little critter that we watch as it scampers across a field. Yes, it is all God's country & I'm so proud to be a part of it. A very nice writing.

So true. So true.

As I live just 10 miles from the brink of Niagara, I had not appreciated my Niagara Falls, my Buffalo and my WNY until travelers arrived and I showed them what we have here. I discovered and fell in love with the piece of county I live in. I rediscover and share it every week.

It truly is all God's country. Thanks for penning!

It truly is, and the natural beauty of 'God's Country' is something far too many of us now take for granted, and very sadly today, there is far less of it to enjoy.

God's country, no place like home to roam. Good write here. I love this country and the countryside especially, with the corn growning and the cows moving about in the fields, the horses grazing too. Love countryside of America.
