I step out into the darkness of the night,
I see one lone wishing star, glistening so bright.
I reach out to touch it, a gesture like a prayer,
I whisper," This is my last wish, please make him care",
A single tear glides down my cheek,
For I know that I won't get the wish I seek.
Being hopelessly romantic, I self destruct within,
My sorrow embraces me like a friend.
I whisper his name, while my tears fall like rain,
My heart still beats despite the pain.
I softly start to sing, Our Song,
The only thing that still remains, for all else is gone.
His memory like a restless spirit, haunts my mind,
How could he just up and leave me behind?
I held on to the love, so tightly, in total despair,
Now I finally realize, there was nothing really there.
The world is made for lovers, not for those who must play solitaire,
It has no time for the lonely, or values half a pair.
So wishing star, this is my last wish, my last try,
Then I will put this romantic heart away and let it slowly die.

You really know how to tear the heart up. Let's hope for the comfort of that last wish. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.

|That last wish should give free way for another first wish, as a cyclical wave of love comes around and around until we finally go like a champagne cork with that last pop! and a long deep last breath.

|Your last wish will be filled as for all those lonely hearts, for there is a match for each one of us SC. I love your writes and the music you pick is so perfect for the words you have shared. Thank you.
