This is a different take for me in writing.. This poem is written about my frist boy friend over 20 years ago. I have been married to a wonderful man the last 10 years. So these tears are not mine today..
Hope you enjoy.

These tears that fall on my pillow.

Are tears for you I cry, because I miss holding you tight.

Tears on my pillow are the cries of wishing

you were here with me.

Why did you leave me?

Why did you not want me any more?

Is it because I was not good enough for you?

These tears keep falling on my pillow.

No matter how much I cry for you.

You still seem to stay away from me.

I know I have to let you go.

I cry to have just one more night with you.

To hold you tight in my arms tonight.

I let my tears fall on my pillow just one more night.

I remember the times we had, that kept me safe at night.

Now I let you go because I have to go on in my life.

I wish you all the love and joy.

Now it is time for me to say good-bye.

I understand..sometimes even though we do 'move on' we sometimes reflect on these times in our life, and can see what went wrong, and why we were hurt. You encapsulat this feeling so well here.

You are Happy now...so the above just had to be....

Praises to you! The loss of anyone tough thing to write about. Yes, I should know. My first wife died of cancer and it took me 20 years to write about her and our experiences during the final stages. Check out my website and read "A Slice of a Short Life" when you can.

Blessings,

Don't let him stay in your life. Make a new life for yourself. You don't deserve someone who does not love you back and wants free of you. I know, I made a 2nd marriage and it was great. It can be done with finding yourself and working on it.
