Women always take serious, what men poke in fun!

His car pulled away, leavin her in a cloud of dust,
He didn't look back, this man who took her trust.
She felt used and discarded, watchin him drive away,
She thought her love and body, would make him stay.
He told pretty lies, so her heart let him in,
She asked for forever, he said," You can't saddle the wind!"
His hands and lips brought her fireworks, every night,
She came undone, her muddled brain couldn't tell day from night.
His lips claimed her soul, while in his arms she lay,
He'd never speak of tomorrow, just said," Enjoy today!"
With artful hands and passion, her body he enticed,
He was her addiction, wanted at any price.
The love song had ended, the piper wanted pay,
He left her cryin and wished her a good day.
Her heart was broken and probably would never mend,
But that was the chance she took, cause you can't saddle the wind.

I love it SC and this so often happens in our lives. We give in so easily to our emotios only to be let down broken hearted. Thank you for sharing.

A voice from the heart that says so much, as the author delves into love that went astray. Well done SC, one of your best.

Your quill dances on sublime clouds dropping wise dews to depict the story in "You Can't Saddle The Wind"... Outstanding composition in poetic expression to strike thoughts on the arcane of human minds.

Awwww, how sweetly this flows by your artful pen. Nope, you are sure right on that, "you can't saddle the wind" no way, no how. The heart will mend, it always does, but the memories will linger on...

Be always safe,
