Hiding Inside Myself

I went to hide

inside myself,

but then I couldn't see.

And so I asked the man above

to go and look for me.

He came back nearly every day

with stuff I didn't know,

and so I hid myself much lower

further down below.

I left all trust to he who looked

at all the world for me

and when I'd taken all I could,

I popped out

as a baby.
