Denial And Self-Jusification

When you have brought extreme pain to someone's life, will you admit it or deny it and try to justify it.

Denial and self-justification, pardons all sins,
They are used to deny validation and let healing begin.
It is so easy to say," I haven't done a thing!",
You ignore the pain your act did bring.
Denial keeps your head held high,
Self-justification helps you ignore someone's tears that are cried.
Your cruelty won't let a heart mend,
You deny any wrong doing, so healing forgiveness can't begin.
The one you have wronged must live in limbo everyday,
Memories haunt them, turning their world grey.
While you loudly proclaim your love and devotion,
You watch your victim drown in denial's ocean.
You are shocked, because they accuse you,
You call them liars and their accusations are not true .
Maybe denial is the only way that allows you to exist each day,
Being able to ignore the fact that you destroyed someone's life this way.

Music: Misunderstood

Too many people find it easy to hide behind the two, Denial and Justification instead of standing tall admitting and asking for forgivness. How many lives have been crucified because of this. Thank you Sc for sharing.

Denial, that little door where big things try to make their exit.

I think in the case of a lot of divorces and failed relationships when the breakup comes regardless of the reason both sides tend to only want to place blame at the others doorstep...maybe it is easy that way in some cases.

i HAD BEEN MISUNDERSTOON IN THE DIVORCE BY MY FIRST HUSBAND. HE HAD NOT HEART AND EVEN NO CONSCIONCE IN WHAT HE DID TO ME TO HURT ME BY DIVORCING ME. IT HURTS TO REMEMBER IT EVEN THOUGH I MADE A 2ND MARRIAGE OF HAPPINESS TIL DEATH.

This is so completely true, some never admit any blame at all for the havoc they cause. Powerful write SC.
