"There are only two ways to live a life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle..."
Can something as small and colorless as a grain of sand,
turn to something larger than your hand?
If you believe in Gods miracles, yes it can.
Can it also change into every color in a rainbow?
If you believe in Gods miracles, yes, it can be so.
The lost man shouts out.
"How can this be?"
He scratches his head.
"You cannot fool me"
"How can this be?"
He stares at the sand.
"This cannot be!"
"You must prove to me!"
"Let me see; let me see"
This man seems to be lost.
Little faith has this man!
He does not believe that
God can make a miracle
out of a tiny grain of sand.
A speck of sand may not produce much.
But a seed the same size can, with Gods touch.
In a few short weeks wild flowers will appear
in colors of purple, violet, yellow and red.
And every color and shape you can imagine.
For the smartest human on earth once said."
There are only two ways to live a life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle..."
I thank God for everyday miracles that are so well stated.
within the handcraft of the universe He created.
Open our eyes Lord. Open our hearts
and allow us to open the door.
To everyday miracles
that are within our mist,

|While I was reading this poem and all the reviews, I was thinking about the message in your poem, and from what it evoked from your readers. Just moment ago, in the midst of rainstorm outside, the satellite dish went silent, then thunder crashed nearby. That is when I remembered the miracle giver.

For my just waking up every morning is a miracle in itself. To be able to put my feet on the floor and walk , see and hear. Its all a miracle to me. I think of all the people who CAN'T get out of bed, who CAN'T see or hear, and I feel blessed. I try not to take for granted the simple things God does for me. Every day he allows me to view the majestic mountain I live close too, the trees, the birds, he allows me to feel the wind on my face. All miracles. All special. Thank you John, for sharing this!

|yes, life is a miracle, and each day a special gift to enjoy, and to share with others. Life so precious, and yet it passes many without the knowledge of its worth.|

|And YOU are a miracle (and, yes, even I). All of us are!! Another is talent such as we see here. Another is faith and the ability to nudge others in its direction. . .as we see here!! Your timing is great. When you pray, please pray for a relative of mine who is in desperate need of the belief that miracles not only exist, they are all around us!! In a very real sense, the norm. Thank you!! <3 Phyllis <3|

|Very soulful. It is wise to live a life reminding others that it's simply a miracle to be able to experience this world through God's grace. Thank you for being wise and letting it show.|

|Oh, I love this poem, as well as the quote from Albert Einstein. Life is such a miraculous adventure, and it troubles me that so many do not see it as such.

I have this MUCH NEEDED QUOTE, on my Bio page, since April 2005! Way Kewl! I am smiling!
FAith the size of a small mustard seed is ALL WE we will ever need! to carry us into miracles that are knowing and believed!
And.. Open our ears, I had my 8 yr. old Grand daughter/Angel over - and she said some amazing things, that I stopped and hugged her and asked her about it and was in Awe! So smart for being so young! My heart was captured all over again...

|Hello John Michael,
You said it completely in this poem, as miracles always abound - form the moment we wake up to the time we go to bed. I just watched a spider weave and crochet his web of a home, and I wondered how it learned to do so with exact precision and skill...a miracle.

|We have to get over our human arrogance, for not only is it a miracle, we will never invent the original components of everything, only God is that smart, more love and respect we should share with all that he created, so much more........... A most timely message especially in these days ........ Bless You! Jasmin Horst|

|Yes, 'tis true! We are indeed surrounded by miracles. Life is the stuff of miracles. If only we would stop and truly see, and appreciate them. But, too many of us are blinded by the pursuit of money and have made money our ultimate life goal choice. Thus we, and our planet, suffer. A worthy poem, John!|
