In the pre-dawn light, I watch you sleep
in my silent thoughts, I wonder
of the tranquil feelings inside me
Of how lying beside you can quietly
calm the chaos in my life
Have I fallen?

How has the touch of your hands, like salve
healed the lingering pain of my past?
you've become my better half
You've given me back all that I lost
Have I fallen?

I've looked into eyes, but never before,
such eyes that have touched me
to my very core
Why are your kisses the drink
that quenches my thirst,
my need for tenderness?
I long for your caring caress
Have I fallen?

Could there be another, who's love
can bring joy into my fluttering heart
who's smile leaves a ray of sun within
that seems to last forever?
No, never before, not ever!
Have I fallen?

As I lay here stroking your hair,
softly kissing your mouth,
I'm filled with such serenity
and a hope I've never had before
by a love so deep, seared in my heart,
like words written,
printed for evermore
Have I fallen?

As sleep finally overtakes me
I know the answer is yes,
I have fallen, ever so deeply.
