Some days, the smiles are forced, the laughs will crack, and our hearts are broken.. yet we cannot give up.. :-)
Charcoal painting: by: Linda Law

Last night I felt as if I were dying
It was as if I didn't even feel like trying
There was no reason, no big event
Don't understand why my heart is spent
There is so much to do these days
If I could just lie down and count the ways
To get through without feeling so blue
When you were here life felt brand new
Who knows why I was left behind
The reasons are many, so says my mind
Life moved on, and I've tried too
Once I was needed, always too much to do
It's over, I know..just passing time
I smile, I laugh, no reason, no rhyme
Last night I felt as if I were dying
I don't want to, but I know I'll keep trying

As if I were dying...poem by: Linda Law

A piece so deep, so soul searching as one reaches out trying to make some sense of what is left. Yet it is our destiny to keep moving forward, keep trying. Remember that God is with us all....

We will never understand the reasons why Linda, but I am sure there is a reason, we may never get the answers but life has to go on if for no one else but us. Take care friend.

You are left to love for him. You are left to remember him. No one knows him like you do, you are left to make him less blue while he is without you. This is very heart felt, Linda. Carry on knowing that you made him happy and it is only you that his happiness can live through. And yes, keep trying.

Yesterday I felt the same way, honest. I took Goldie to the grocers and she said I don't want you to die of heartbreak. I said I'd of died long ago if that were the case in fact. I just was not myself either yesterday. Your drawing is good. Love watermelon all year round in fact. My favorite food in fact.

Pastel and charcoal always bring one out of a dark mood...melancholy days are best replaced with watermelon wine, Linda! Tom T. Hall said it best...old dogs and watermelon wine, need to do some porch sittin' with a stack of Extraordinary Visits and autograph the jug! Be well, Linda...
