Few really know what happened the last two minutes of my Leah’s life. Not the family….just the two nurses…God and I. Someday I will explain…but now…but now it brings much pain. Thank you for allowing me to vent my pains such as these…thank you for all things.

Leah’s Eyes

I feel the warm presence of your child like touch.

In the light of day I still see the sweetness in your eyes that I loved so much.

It has been Seven days today since you in my arms slipped away.

Some say that its time to move on; time to seek another day.

I will in time; I will someday find comfort in my heart and mind.

Yet for now all I can do is grieve for I miss her so much.

I still remember…oh how I remember the last look in your eyes.

They haunt me now at night with their innocent child like plea.

Yet I know…I know now that you my love are free.

Oh Dear God…I have never loved such as this, but now…

But now the nothing; the silence; the eyes that call me in the night,

Oh lord…oh sweet lord, bring me comfort and let me see

once more the love and not the pain in my sweet Leah’s eyes for me.

In time, with God at your side you will move on to remember all the marvelous memories you and Leah were fortunate to share. Leah's spirit will always be with you as will her love for you. Be well and in our prayers you will remain...

Be always safe,

J. Allen,
This heartfelt and emotional poem brought me to tears. I pray the good Lord above will bring you peace of mind and heart. May he ease the pain and replace it with peace. Your Leah will never leave you, Allen. She will forever live in your heart.

Many blessings,

It is always the eyes that we seem to remember...the love, the hope, the gentleness and the pain held within them. MJ is right, Allen...write much...write often.

I had and still have flashbacks of Tom dying and his eyes how they were so blue too. The bluest ever, I knew he had such blue eyes, but they seemed to glow as he died. I'll never forget his passing in front of me and you had the opportunity too to be with Leah at the ending of her life. Now move on but never forget her and her spirit is with you. I can say it is a little easier after a year's passing for me, but not too much per say. It takes much time, much time indeedy.

Allen, you will again remember only the sweetness and the last hours will fade, and only the good spirit of Leah will remain in your heart. You must grieve, do not allow anyone to tell you differently. You must go through the grieving process. It will be a long year process, but you will begin to live again, but only after you have truly grieved your loss of Leah's earthly existence, because you know that her spirit has never left you. Let this knowledge be a comfort for she is with you each moment of your earthly existence and then beyond that.
In light, love, and peace, sweet man,

You did everything that is humanely possible by being there for Leah and feeling her pain. Take comfort in the fact that her pain is over for good.

Stay strong mate, we all feel for you.

You were there for her. The last thing she saw was your face. Yes, she was in pain. Yes, she suffered. But knowing that you were there for her, honoring your marriage vows, transcends the pain both of you were feeling. A most beautiful, open, honest write, powerfully penned.

You were in our prayers tonight: hope you feel peace tonight. Rest in the Lord. He knows...

(((((HUGS))))) and love, Karla.
