I am so tired of everyone thinking you have to be someones eye candy in order for anyone to notice you exist or even treat you as a human being. So, this is my rebellious nature kicking in...

This is my body and its fat
And people see it as a fact
But I canít help where itís at
So now, there- thatís that

I used to be lean and fit
ĎTil sickness got a hold of it
I may indeed have lots of wit
But people only see a dumb twit

There is no one for me
Ďcause the fat is all they see
I guess I can never be
A happy part of society

I guess they will never know
That I have a kind soul
As thinness is their only goal
They think dying it will slow

My body may be somewhat fat
But people need to get over that
Ďcause I canít help where itís at
So now, there- thatís that.

I hear ya. I am so sick of this "get-healthy, lose-weight; you'll-never-fit-in-unless-you're-skinny" mentality, I could just VOMIT!! If people can't accept someone for their inner self instead of focusin' on what's on the outside, then SCREW 'em, is what I have to say!! I am no skinny minnie (have health issues, and NOT because of weight!!); was there once (went down to 100 pounds; got sick, that's why I lost the weight; NOT a good way to diet, folks!), but have gained 50 pounds (and then some); I no longer look like I'm dyin'! GREAT rant; I hear ya!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend (who's been on both ends of the spectrum), Karen Lynn. :D

You tell 'em!!! I cannot stand people who judge people because of their weight, and I will never understand it and believe it is their loss, truly, as they can't see a person but a weight. As a former anorexic, that kind of thinking is sad to me. Now, I am damn proud of my curves, and like yourself, if someone wants stick thin, they can find someone else. Good message, and there are many people out there who will love you just as you are.

Actually, some thin men DO prefer fat women. It's always the opposite attracts. But I know what you mean by the public eyes. People see somebody who's fat and immediately they think he/she eats like a pig. People are too quick to judge and forget that these people were once thin people and they DO have feelings.

A wonderful write and a great message!

Concur with Sue, below: it's not what's on the outside that counts. Well said!

It's a shallow, shallow soul who fails to see beauty in all sizes.
