This kinda explains my past relationship and my search for someone who would show me what true love was.

by

Andrew Bailey

Shackled by his own desire,

blinded by what he thought was love,

seemed like nothing could take him higher,

than this so called love.

He was under controll,

Oh was he ever,

Almost as if he sold his soul,

To make this sweet endeavor.

Searching all his life for this one thing given from above,

Searching endlessly, aimlessly for this thing.. True love.

Through the very depths of hell he had been,

Searching his soul from deep within.

Bound by these chains, his hands and his feet.

Mistaking love for control and deceit.

He tried everything,

He poured out his very heart and soul,

Because he thought it was love,

He thought it was making him whole.

Facing his demons everyday.

In church, school, with no delay.

In his pursuit for love he fought with his life,

causing him pain and causing him strife.

Deeper and deeper in the darkness he'd go,

each day each night into the depths below.

His tears of happiness were shed in vain,

His tears of joy were turned to tears of pain,

Going through hell again and again,

With the one he called his love, his dearest friend.

He drove himself nearly insane,

to make this one love him,

and yet it failed again and again.

His ways blinded by darkness,

His judgement blinded by desire,

Although he couldnt see,

He was walking deeper and deeper into the fire.

It seemed as if all hope was lost,

It seemed his life would end,

But God showed this man that He was the one to trust,

The only one on whom he should depend.

Suddenly seperated from this so called love,

There began to shine a light,

It was dim,

As if a candle in the darkness of night.

What he didnt understand was it was an angel in the distance,

One who would change his life,

One who would save him from his hindrance.

As time went by slowly,

Things only seemed to get worse,

Seperated from his so called love,

death he would rehearse.

Without this love he thought was true ,

He had nothing to live for,

It seemed there was nothing more he could do.

Even after all it had put him through.

His seperation lead him closer to God,

God was the only true thing now,

He knew God was no fraud.

The closer he came with his father above,

The closer he came to this true love.

As his attention was taken from the demons of his past,

He searched for a love that would endure all,

A love that would last.

As he continued his search,

The light began to grow stronger and stronger.

What was this light?

His curiosity made his travel longer.

As he kept traveling,

His chains were unbound.

Controll and deceite were no longer found.

A weary travel it had been,

For this man, my dear friends.

When reaching the end of the tunnel,

He found true love,

at the end of this race he had raced.

While in an angels arms he was embraced.
