Mother i miss you and I love you.
I have not forgotten the moment when you left
me behind to Godís refuge,
In a world no more than a stranger to me,
I had other people around me
to depend on and talk to,
They raised me after you
They loved me and spent time with me.
Taught me to make my own decisions.
Yet, at this stage of life, I still miss you
And treasure every moment
Yo ucould ever give me.
A special gift, that is etched on my soul forever;
Your motherly love.

Well, my first attempt at poetry. This poem is for my mother who gave birth to me and raised me and now since she is gone, I treasure each and every moment I have attached to her. I thank all of my family members who have been there for me when I needed them. I love them all.
PS. My friend Masrat Daud helped me write this poem. Thank you to you too.

Anything written on mother can only be an understatement. A very nice effort. Maybe you could look up Varanasi Rao(author)'s "The Mother"

Qb, this is brilliant. Yes I mean it. I want you to believe in yourself and understand that poetry is only an art of expression. As a first attempt (or maybe second lolll)...this is much better than what many of us write. At least, it's much better than what I wrote! Keep it going. Just remember that...your poetry will be worth reading only if it's honest and honesty comes from your heart.

Looking forward to more of your written work - especially poems! Take care and oh yes - Excellent write.
