A Moment's Glitter

Come down the road with me
to a treasured place in time.
The path was golden then
but covered full of vines.

No seeking for salvation,
no searching for our soul.
life was simply silenced then
cause life was so unknown.

A day felt like a century
and hours drew so long.
time was warped in dreamland
and nothing seemed so wrong.

The sky was so much bluer
the rain fell down like stars
the vastland was a playground
and no one drove a car.

Simple pleasures seem to please
a dolar went for miles
sitting on the porch steps
with nothing more to smile.

Colors ran together
for pixels didn't matter
nothing about tomorrow
never really lathered.

For a moment's glitter
life sparked short in fuse
as centuries become minutes
we look back....
with magnitude.

simplicity houses the greatest treasures -- time is the master of deception -- convoluting all within -- ah, such sweet memories you have revived -- peace to you -- JMW

This passage of time and memory of it is a mystery.
I have often reflected upon this theme as a scientist. Thanks for bringing all of this back again. Well done.

Magnitude. A word to warm an old astronomer/physicist's heart.

My favorite part:
"The sky was so much bluer
the rain fell down like stars
the vastland was a playground
and no one drove a car."
