I love the changing of the seasons. Each has its special reasons to enjoy them.

Autumns Awakening

By Kathy Lynn

The whistling winds of autumn

Rustling of the leaves

Sing out their lovely melodies

As the laughingly fall from the trees

Colors of red, orange and brown,

Celebrate the seasons change.

As they dance merrily

Down the deserted lane

The morning frost opens its wings

And spreads across the land

Glistening like precious jewels

Eye candy once again

Yawning the waking sun’s rays

Warm the calliope of song

Rainbows awaken each morning

Harmonizing of fall has begun

So many people think that Autumn is a gloomy time, but I love the way you captured the feelings of joy and excitement in your poem.

What a BEAUTIFUL fall poem Kathleen!
As I drive my school bus on my 9 rtes. a day, I drive slowly by all the changing leaves and let the gaze stay in my heart, you wrote what my feelings are!
I want to STAY and let the feelings envelope me longer, but driving I must! Being outside in my job, WINTER, SPRING (some Summer) and FAll, is another reason WHY I drive my Angels to home and School!
Such Beauty is our life!
as your poem did for my spirit! Thank you! I haven't been on A/D. in over a week and now, I haven't left YOUR spot! hmmm...
Love your spirit, heart and soul!

I love fall, also winter. I am soooo glad the heat of summertime is overwith and done! I find as I grow older, the heat bothers me more! I hate hot!! Send me to ALASKA, and I'll be happy as a clam! :)

Fall: my favorite season. Don't need the picture (although it's beautiful) to see the Autumnal colors in richly imaged verse: well done, Kathleen.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Nature's autumn much like the autumn of our lifes is a time of changes, great beauty and often revitalization, we should embrace it and smile at the magic that it offers us.
