from one who can't
$150,000.00 on clothes
or lobster dinners:
try living on
nothing or deciding if food more important
than paying bills:
living on the streets and neither should the children --
get down in the
the real people are scrabbling hand to mouth in a
world gone horribly wrong:

|Politicians seem to think they know how it is to be at the bottom of mainstream America, it is easy to find comfort when you are reaping the rewards of taxpayers efforts and work...if only they would...
Nice work Karla...

|Strong and passionate and how much do you think it costs for a wardrobe of Armani suits, ties, shoes, cuff links, tie clasp??? My goodness they said Obama collected six hundred million alone. Think of all the good that could be done with just that alone! Food, medical, housing, right?

|Get real - 150,000 true, Lobster and Iranian Caviar, false, apparently... - truth is, the anger and frustration felt is real, and really felt through your words - whatever happens politically, when things get tough, true grit resolve empathy action and achievement prospers in grass root collective organisation and individual creativity, where we the people surprise ourselves, with what we can do individually and together to improve the quality of life for ourselves and others around us - when need speaks and people answer there is some magic in the exchange, just like there is in poetry - you tell it like it is -it's wrong, how to make it less so, and how to make day to day better now, is always the question..(i'm ranting Karla, Nurse Silent has done a runner! i'm meeting such young street kids daily here, we talk, have lunch, there are organisations...it can all be very depressing -better to speak up, and do something positive, than let hopelessness win, right? The 150,000, like other big bucks that magically filter down, is supposed to be auctioned off toward something 'charitable' after...hm.... What-ev-er!...think its best, here at least, not to hang around waiting, and to get busy right now!:o) Good poem!! Cheers xx:o)|

|Outstanding.... "Get Real" strikes the bell of Justice.
The money we need for housing ~ to build seven million low income houses for thirty million homeless - was used to replace the misappropriation of people's money by Wall Street vampires.
This is what can be called massive blindness. The Congress that approved such shame is as good as the lobbyists that worked out the deal for the thieves, who pay for the bills of both candidates.
Read the first paragraph of The Declaration of Independence, and read the Constitution of USA. "Get REAL America", before Your people see the gates of slaveyard.
Banks as banks can't go bankruptcy. There is to say that legally they can't use Your money, unless they have three to one guarantee. Therefore, when the financial system goes down, it can only be possible if the government officials are involved on the FRAUD. Read: FINANCE COMMITTEE OF US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES; FINANCE COMMITTEE OF US SENATE, The SECURITY AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION, The INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE; THE SECRETARY OF TREASURY,and the list goes to the OVAL OFFICE.

|You are so right Karla, they need to t real and realize what the NEEDS are of their people. Let the Government try living off what they expect others to live off, they could never do it. Thank you for sharing the SAD TRUTH.

|Right on, Sweetie! They cannot get real; they don't have the tools. Not one of those politicians would survive one single night on our mean streets. "That's the problem with Senator Obama's ..." he'd say, and get killed by folks at the bottom of the economic scale who know that his watch and cufflinks are worth more than his conversation. There are truths out on those streets that politicians will never know.

|Thanks, Karla. You are getting at the real issues facing us rather than just join the common name calling that seems to be so prevalent right now. I appreciate the "reality" in your message

|Are we forgetting something, what about War Veterans that should decide between buying medicines or foot, because they can't afford them at the same time?
In the land of the free you are guarateed the freedom of choice, to die by sickness or to die of hunger, as the Bank Manager that caused the bankruptcy goes away with a 20.000.000 dollars severance.
