Early this morning as I rise;
Thanking my master while looking to the sky.
It is time to stop playing.
I will not wait 'til I die,
Then will be too late.
I am guilty of betrayal.
I ask God for forgiveness
If at anytime I have been a hater.
I am ashamed of our nation,
Of how we respond to people of color.
An educated man does not stand a chance.
He can not know if he will live or die while
Working as a citizen in our, God's land.
What makes some folk think,
In charge they must be?
Perhaps because our Jesus, they can not see.
You don't need to see God to believe.
Jesus is free, He died for us; now so are we.
Come to Jesus, just as you are,
For your answers of any kind.
He sees you, hears you, loves you;
He will not deceive you or betray you.
While on your knees you pray
For you neighbor, He sets you free.
In vain won't be your labor.
