Nailng The Pain With Hammer's Word
Can I bear pain upon dagger piercing labels slicing open wounds?
Can you feel pain run through the veins verse, bleeding rounds?
Like bullets impregnating dreams into an abortion killing spirit helotry
Nail the coffin door closed treason to live the Conservatism bigotry.
What color are a poet's words bleeding scars right wing compassion
Bulldozed over Civil Liberties Tiananmen Square sad Lady Liberty
Crushed red, white, 'n blues bruised black ‘n white survival passion
Ink napkin reigning Vietnam Veteran walking wounded pain therapy.
Worn out knees torn in tattered remains weathering blue jean fibers
Drafted 1A feeling of selective service Mission Accomplished past lies
In prefabrication Politician body bags covered in hidden casket numbers,
Feel the ghostly caisson sound wheeling weight’s rutted mourning blue skies.
Nail the pain with hammer's word wailing Banshee shrill cry trumpet call
Taps notes vibrating the quill’s grave inside the chills of nightmares mask
Funeral march bagpipes vibrating “Amazing Grace” echoing tears, scrawled
Epitaphs Dead Poets Society, Patriot Act banned Vet censorship vented marks.
Korean, Vietnam, Iraqi, Afghanistan, ect American fought Wars
Nailing the pain
With the hammer’s word’s
Within a coffin door
Silent Vet living body bag.
Note: Sometimes in our draining spirit, one must nail the pain with hammer's word. This is dedicated for Musie, who like this last sentence, a great poet in her own magical way of delivery.
