A gentle greeting to a loved one.

An angel's kiss
I send your way,
for I do miss
you every day.

This kiss is lighter
than the finest down.
May it make your eyes brighter.
May it erase your every frown.

It is softer than
the gentlest breeze.
I hope it can
fill your heart with ease.

This little angel's kiss,
you see,
is just a sign of love
to you from me.

Okay, here's the thing...I'm glad I read all of your work before I read this one because alone it is simply simple. But contrasted with your other poems I have faith that it is written that way by design and not because you don't know what makes a good poem. I think that may read as an unintended insult but I gave the poem a high rating, so I hope that tells you it's not meant that way. In any case, you know it's cute. You don't need me to tell ya!

This poem is simplicity itself and yet says so much in such a refreshingly original way. It requires more than average talent to create a work of art from the basic ingredients of simplicity of language and rhythm, together with fresh, original images free of clichés.

So, congratulations, Regina, and thanks for posting.
