Some may not like the guy,
Some may have voted the other way,
Some are still saying bad things,
BUT HE IS THE PRESIDENT & HE DESERVES OUR RESPECT...e

JFK did predict,

40 years & a black president will sit,

At the head of our nation,

It took a bit longer, some feel frustration,

Some feel elation…

So we have what we have,

He is a whole not a halve,

With hopes of a better country,

The people have spoken,

It is their ultimate decree…

So onward we go,

With Mr. Obama in the know,

Let us hope he has the strength,

He is surely going to need it,

He has inherited a country on the brink,

Hopefully he can get US back in sync…

Good write, Ed...He will be taking the reins during very tough times. Lets hope that he surrounds himself with people that really are concerned about fixing all the massive problems we face.

Some people have to work EXTRA HARD to prove their values, and Obama is one of them. I hope people will accept him and give him room and time to make changes and not keep throwing negativism at him. Afterall, he only has Americans' best interest in his heart.

I think he will make America a better place, but we must give him time to do that.

I hope so too, Ed, and my prayers are with him. In some ways, Obama reminds me of JFK, his zeal and the way he connects with the common people. It does feel promising :-)
